Dental implants are one way of replacing missing teeth without destroying adjacent teeth, as in the case of conventional bridges. Unlike normal replacement teeth, dental implants are mounted on posts which are inserted into the jaw during surgery. They can be used to replace a single tooth or a whole set of teeth.

Implants can be used to keep a denture very stable and people will not be able to see that your teeth are supported by implants.  It is best for patients wishing to have implants to be in relatively good health because of the surgery needed.

Implants involve undergoing minor surgery twice over a period of several months and as such require the skills of an experienced surgeon (implantologist). We use Straumann implants which are safe and have been used successfully for over 20 years all across the world.

Our implantologist, Mr Chris Newby, will be pleased to accept a referral from your dentist.
